Feel The Yarn 08 AW 23-24
The Magazine comes from a desire to talk about knitwear trends with the focus squarely on yarns. Having looked at the publishing market, we have realised that there is no magazine out there that puts yarns at the heart of the extraordinary evolution of knitwear over the last 10 years. The images and words behind the inspiration for knitwear creators will be placed alongside yarns, clothes and garments that provide the best visual representation of the themes chosen to depict the reality around us, or what will sum up our daily lives in the future. We are convinced of our ability to add another angle to our way of seeing yarns and of their ability to interpret our moods and our passions.
The season main mood is entitled RIDING THE CHANGE and includes the A/W 2023.24 trends and colours divided in 4 themes (Metamorphosis, Empathy, Exploring Tradition, The Dimension of the Possible). Pennac tells us that when we can't change the world, we have to change how we look at it, including from perspectives and angles that may seem marginal. It's a suggestion I have always liked and it seems to suit these times of uncertainty and instability, in which we are being tested and our very future is being called into question. Concepts like design and construction have become increasingly vague and depend ever less on hard work and individual ability. One method we could adopt is to refuse all marked out plans and live entirely in the present. Fine-tuning our ability to adapt and change, reassured by our wealth of experience and knowledge, finally managing to look to the horizon with the faith arising from shared experiences. Here we look at four possible paths for tackling change with pride.
